About Us
Warsop and District Camera Club was formed in 1991
by four friends who used to go out together taking photographs.
It quickly grew and had approximately twenty five members
within a couple of years.
We try to keep it an informal club with a friendly
atmosphere and welcome both social members who just
want to come and have a chat and the competitive ones
who enjoy entering the competitions.
As well as club competitions we also have inter club
battles and also area competitions. We also usually
have a stand on Warsop Carnival taking and selling portraits.
The membership has been up and down over the years,
peaking at 30+, and is currently about 20.
Last year we had a couple of excellent members join
us and one in particular, as come from just a snapshot
photographer to a club and inter club winner within
the space of a year.
If you have a serious interest in photography or just require a little advice for your snaps or new camera, you are more than welcome to attend.
We currently meet at Meetings now held at Church Warsop
Miners Welfare, Wood Lane, Church Warsop, Notts NG20
0SS. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start.
